1 July / Notice

Starting 1 July 2024, Victoria is introducing a new operator licence for non-slewing telehandlers (capacity of more than 3 tonnes).

Previously, only a CN licence was required for mobile cranes.

There is now special training for safely operating non-slewing telehandlers with different tools attached.

If you already hold a crane licence (CN / C2 / C6 / C1 / C0), you don’t need to do anything unless you want to learn more about telehandler operation.

Effective 1 July 2024

If you don't currently hold one of these licences, and need to operate a non-slewing telehandler over 3 tonnes, from 1 July you must:

  • Complete and pass the non-slewing telehandlers training by an authorised registered training provider (Course 11249NAT)
  • Apply for the new licence
  • Provide a copy of the licence to Hutchies

The new licence is only for operating non-slewing telehandlers, not a non-slewing mobile crane or slewing telehandler.

To operate non-slewing telehandlers under 3 tonnes, there are no changes. Operators must still be trained in either THA Gold Card or RIIHAN309F.

28 June / New

Hutchies has a new facilities management system to under pilot for our Toowong office.

The myBuildings tool aims to streamline work requests, quotes, communication, and invoicing for our on site contractors.

Our plan is to extend the implementation of this system to our office at 31 Staple Street, Seventeen Mile Rocks.

Reporting building maintenance

If you're in Toowong, and have an item to report, please send all maintenance requests to:

brisbane.reception@hutchinsonbuilders.com.au

Contractors on site

All contractors performing works internally and externally at Hutchies' Toowong office (which includes ADG Engineers' buildings) must complete our induction process and sign in using the QR code located at reception.

More information

If you have any questions about the new system, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Sarah Di Lorenzo in Hutchies' Property Team.

Thank you in advance as we transition to this more efficient way of managing building maintenance.
